Internal and External Splines

Overview:

Internal and external splines are normally used to connect different shafts configurations, where torque needs to be converted but also be able to be taken apart for assembly or installation applications.
Both internal and external splines can be machined. Involute and straight sided splines can be machined by hobbing, shaping or milling. External splines can be machined in various lengths up to 2000mm long and maximum diameter up to 800mm. The internal splines can be machined up to 1000mm in diameter with various pitches ranging from 2.5/5 DP to 24/48DP.
