Spur gears up to 1.8 meter diameter can be cut

Overview:

• Spur gears connect parallel shafts, have involute teeth that are parallel to the shafts,
• Spur gears are inexpensive to manufacture and cause no axial thrust between gears
• They give lower performance, but may be satisfactory in low speed or simple applications

At Adlam Engineering we manufacture external spur gears from 20mm in diameter up to 1800mm in diameter with diametric pitches ranging from 30 to 1.5. Maximum face lenghts up to 300 are possible depending on the outside diameter of the gear. We are capable of machining gears up to AGMA6 and for high accuracy gears we offer gear grinding facilities up to an accuracy of AGMA 10.
